Holdfast helped Auckland Emergency  Management develop and articulate their emergency response procedures. The resulting 250-plus page handbook forms the basis of how Auckland responds to and manages emergencies.

Holdfast facilitated and developed a multi-agency, emergency response exercise for Chatham Islands Airport. As part of the project, an exemplar "orders document" and agency-specific cue cards were written. The work helped the airport maintain their CAA certification.

NZ Windfarms asked Holdfast to assist with the ongoing refinement of their risk registers and business continuity plans. Some of this work required consideration of the planned repower of the current wind farm.

Holdfast was asked to help articulate the site specific safety plan for some tricky dam repairs involving an unstable face and crane-suspended workers. The work involved facilitated discussions with contractors to draw-out potential risks and writing a safety plan that satisfied the dam owner.

Coastguard New Zealand commissioned Holdfast to develop a handbook to support their Unit Crew Coordinators in the recruitment and management of volunteers.

On behalf of the Waikato Civil Defence Emergency Management Group, Holdfast undertook an assessment of existing research and data availability to support Hikurangi Subduction Zone earthquake preparedness activities.

The first project undertaken by Jono was a training manual for Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Engineers. The 130+ page manual was written with technical input and guidance from senior USAR instructors and enabled the training of the next generation of USAR Engineers.

Holdfast reviewed the criticality of the fixed wing aerodrome at Milford Sound for emergency response operations. The conclusions will inform decisions regarding the future use of the aerodrome and the land it sits on.
